Tamatea Intermediate School delivers the Technology Programme in a purpose built technology centre. The school is a host school for many outside schools that visit to take part in our innovative technology programme. On offer in 2019 is Food Technology, Hard Materials, Multi Materials and Digital Technologies. These will be delivered by specialist staff alongside our performing and visual arts programme.
Purpose: Students need to be competent problem solvers to create solutions to technological problems.
Effective technology teaching will involve educating the learners about the relationships between technology and society.
Is about identifying needs, creating possible solutions, reflecting on the solution to ensure that developed products meet the needs of the consumer
